Yoga as a Way of Life
In this two-year training, Yoga becomes an integral part of your life,
because being a Yoga teacher is an identity grounded in integrity.
Training Details: Integral Yoga
You already have experience with Yoga and have felt how much regular practice supports your well-being. You wish to feel more joy and vitality in everyday life — and you feel the calling to support others in unfolding their highest potential? Then the Integral Yoga Teacher Training may be the right path for you.
The training includes theory and practice in all areas of the various Yoga paths listed below. Through the combination of these paths, your body will develop strength, agility, endurance, and flexibility. You will experience greater aliveness in your daily life, your emotions will become clearer and more harmonious, you will cultivate inner calm and serenity, and you will have opportunities to perceive the essence of your true nature.
As a result, your presence and self-confidence will grow. You will gain deeper knowledge of yourself and human nature, and step by step you will develop the confidence to fully recognize yourself as a Yoga teacher.
Over the course of two years, you will participate in one full weekend of Integral Yoga each month. During these weekends you can observe the progress of your daily practice, ask questions, and explore new insights. Additionally, there will be one intensive week per year, in which the teachings are deepened and personal processes are supported.
Below you will find an overview of the structure of the training and the schedule examples.
Swami Sivananda and the Integral Yoga System
Swami Sivananda developed and refined the system of Integral Yoga, which combines the following Yoga paths:
Hatha Yoga (Physical Practice)
Hatha Yoga (Sanskrit: हठयोग haṭhayoga).
Ha means “sun,” Tha means “moon,” and Yoga means “union.”
Hatha Yoga harmonizes the body through effort and relaxation: warming, activating, cooling, and balancing practices.
Kundalini Yoga (Energy & Prana)
Kundalini Yoga (Sanskrit: कुण्डलिनीयोग kuṇḍalinīyoga).
This path works on the astral body, the chakras (energy centers), and the nadis (energy channels).
Its practices purify the astral body, harmonize the chakras, and increase Prana so the life force can rise upward along the spine.
Karma Yoga (Yoga of Action)
Karma Yoga (Sanskrit: कर्मयोग karmayoga).
Known as the Yoga of action or selfless service — one of the six main paths of Integral Yoga.
Jnana Yoga (Yoga of Knowledge)
Jnana Yoga (Sanskrit: ज्ञानयोग jñānayoga).
Centered around the questions: “Who am I?” and “What is God?”
It progresses through four stages: listening, contemplating, meditating, and realizing.
The Vedanta philosophy forms its foundation.
Bhakti Yoga (Devotion & Love)
Bhakti Yoga (Sanskrit: भक्तियोग bhaktiyoga).
One of the four main spiritual paths to self-realization.
Bhakti means: love for the sake of love; love for the Divine.
It connects the mind to the essence of the heart.
Bhajan and Kirtan are key practices.
Raja Yoga (Mind Control & Meditation)
Raja Yoga (Sanskrit: राजयोग rāja-yoga).
The “royal path” of meditation and mastery of the mind.
Self-observation reveals patterns that limit our potential.
Concentration on truth — primarily through meditation — strengthens the inner Self (Atman) and unfolds the fullness of the human mind.
